Thumbelina inspired doll

Did you recognize this is Little Ella from my new book “Lovable Amigurumi Toys”? I made a couple of color versions before I chose the perfect one for the book. She didn`t happen to be the lucky one, but that`s okay, because she`s the most beautiful little autumn girl and available for sale.

I love how tiny this doll is, yet she has many cute details. She wears a Thumbelina hat embellished with a small flower. Her dress has this contrasting ruffle and the cutest sleeves. Not the mention the hair. I like dolls with yarn wig and was especially pleased with Alize Bella I used for her hair. I like that it`s pure cotton, but even more I like this super natural color. Almost all Estonian kids have this color of hair :)

Although this doll is small, the pattern is in advanced skill level. You need single crochet, half double crochet and double crochet stitch for making her. Plus there`s the hair, which has a complete tutorial in the front part of the book.

Some toys are so inspiring you want to make more and more. And you want to try it in all possible colors. That`s exactly how I feel about this little doll.
