Sun and cloud garland – crochet pattern

The garland with little crochet sun and cloud motifs is a beautiful nursery decor. It`s therapeutic to crochet the repeating ornaments, and later turn them into a bunting. You can make the garland as long as needed, using as many motifs as you wish. The motifs can all be made in different color to give your yarn stash a new life.

Crochet motifs can be used as standalone appliques on children clothing, activity blankets, etc.

SIZE AND MATERIALS

Size: each cloud motif measures 8 x 5 cm (3.14 x 2 in), and sun motif Ø 6 cm (2.4 in). The example garland is made of 9 motifs and is measured from one end of the strand to the other, about 112 cm (44 in) long.

The pattern uses a 2.5 mm crochet hook with DK (8 ply) weight cotton.
