I am back with Christmas color trends 2020 and feel super happy to inform you that neutrals are in fashion! Yay!!! I made a garland of little crochet houses in off-white, gray and beige. I adore natural colors and would feel really well in a house decorated with neutrals. What about you?
The garland is made using my gingerbread house pattern. I didn`t do the edging and this gave an entirely new look to the ornament. Plus, it makes it much easier and quicker.
You can create two different ornaments with the same pattern. Clever, isn`t it?!

I attached little houses on a rustic rope using little black clothespins like these. It`s a great solution if you don`t want to attach the ornaments permanently. I also found a nice set of natural wooden clothespins with a rope included. Or you can choose something more colorful and Christmassy instead.
This time I tried a new starching technique which I haven`t used before. And it worked! Just had to spray this thing onto the crochet motifs and iron after a minute. Look how even my little house ornaments are.

Love the little crochet house motif in neutrals please could you advise we’re the crochet in a thicker yarn I am in the uk and 5pm seems too thin thank you
Hi, Lesley! You can choose pretty much any yarn you like for this project, just make sure you choose a matching crochet hook. But do remember that when using thicker yarn, your motifs will become slightly bigger than indicated in the pattern.
What type of spray starch did you use? These are adorable!
Thanks! I have this one.
