In the beginning of 2020 I had my very first blind amigurumi CAL. It was this cute deer we were making together. There were hundreds of participants crocheting the same amigurumi at the same time, so it definitely felt awesome.
I never knew how popular an event like this could be. There were people who were obviously disappointed they didn`t notice the call for the CAL in time. Later I published the deer pattern in my free patterns so everyone who missed the crochet along still had a chance of making their own deer.
The pattern is easy skill level, however, you need to know all basic stitches – single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet. The shape of the toy is simple and it`s easy to assemble.
Small toys like this are great for using yarn leftover. I try not to buy any new yarn for small projects. It`s a great boost for creativity as well!
In October 12-17, 2020 I am organizing another Christmassy crochet along. Click here if you want to take part of it or read more precisely about how it works. Again, it`s gonna be simple, so beginners can participate as well. You are all welcome to have some fun together.
