Amigurumi tiger toy

Here`s an amigurumi tiger toy made as a customer order. I was so happy to make a tiger after so many years, and especially glad how he turned out.

Although I´ve made hundreds of toys during the years, I´m still always nervous when getting a customer order like this.

It`s my first tiger toy made with cotton yarn. It was quite hard to find a beautiful shade of orange, so I was happy stumble upon Drops Muskat 49. It`s a gorgeous and warm color! Perfect for making tigers and pumpkins :)

I´ve played with different type of stripes to achieve a more playful character instead of a classical look.

The basic pattern of this tiger is actually Streaky Cat from my book “Magical Amigurumi Toys”. I love it`s athletic body that perfectly suits tiger character. I´ve altered the face quite a bit. It`s actually a new face type. Really love how it turned out. Serious, a bit worried like many of my toys. I guess it`s kind of a signature face, hahaa!

My amigurumi tiger toy is 34 cm / 13.4 inches of height.
