This is my new amigurumi goat pattern. She is called Mama Goat.
Mama Goat is featured in my recently published Estonian book, and now the pattern is available in my webshop in English, with Spanish, Dutch, and Danish translations coming soon.
Mama Goat came to life a couple of years ago, designed especially for a farm that raises goats. The client requested that she wear a dress, so I gave her the character of a hardworking housewife.
The goat is dressed in a timeless wool dress, complete with a lovely ruffled apron, a beautiful collar, and a lace-trimmed hem.
I’ve experimented with different colors for her dress, including olive green, a rustic old pink, and the current brick red. While they all look charming, the red dress has a particularly Christmassy vibe, which I absolutely adore—making it my favorite!
I can’t forget to mention some of the embroidery details, especially the eye patches. For me, this element truly makes this amigurumi goat stand out, adding so much personality and character to the design.
There are also a few smaller details I’m proud of: the jagged edges on the limbs, created with a spike stitch, and the subtle stripes on the horns.
