Amigurumi French Bulldog pattern – Frida and Ralph

OMG, writing the pattern of Amigurumi French Bulldog took me like ages! I started designing the bulldog back in May 2019 and completed in November 2020. But that wasn`t because of my laziness. It simply needed time to settle until I was ready to teach it to others.
I am super happy with the dog. Never imagined I would be able to make something like it. I love her cute face and the weird body so characteristic to bulldogs.
The dog is made with aran weight merino wool and 3 mm crochet hook. The height is approx 28 cm / 11 in. It`s in fixed position, so it cannot sit.
For making this dog you need to know how to crochet with 2 colors at once. You`ll need it for making the 2-colored face and body. I´ve made a short video tutorial, showing how I do it.
When writing the pattern, my biggest struggle was choosing the colors of the clothing. Yes, the patterns of the dress and vest are also included, so it`s like a 3in1 pattern! I needed the clothes to match, and I didn`t want it to get too colorful. The black vest and peach pink dress impressed me the most. But of course you can choose whatever colors you like and crochet an entire wardrobe if you want to :)
I want to thank you for the amazing pattern, Frida and Ralph. I have never worked with such a well written pattern. I made Ralph first, and now I can’t wait to make Frida. Thank you again.
