Amigurumi birthday bear and yummy cake

Did you know lilleliis has it`s first big birthday this autumn?! Well, it was 10 years ago I published my first blog post and started sharing amigurumis and passion for crochet with the world. Obviously at that moment I didn`t expect it to be a life-changing step. But the ball started rolling. First I only shared my crocheted toys and soon discovered quite many fans I had gained. Then came etsy and the pressure to write patterns, which, I have to confess, at the beginning seemed like a slippery ice to me. And finally Facebook made it all a big thing! So I have a lot to be grateful of, people to be grateful to.
There are thousands of crocheters around me without whom my work would be pointless. So celebrations of lilleliis`s birthday mostly contain of making gifts to my fans! :) I want to say thank you for being here and encouraging me on this journey.
I couldn`t figure out a better gift than sharing some new patterns and inspiration with you! So keep your eyes open, because more info is coming.
One of the gifts is this sweet amigurumi bear designed especially for the birthday celebrations. It`s something so simple yet eye-catching. I imagine this bear with his jummy cake as the perfect gift on babies 1st birthday. Made with eco cotton yarn it is super baby-friendly too.
The crochet cake was really fun to design. Something I have never tried before. I experimented with the textures to give it a really natural look. The first example of the cake you see here is embellished with spangles and beads, but I have made another version with buttons too.
The pattern of the bear as well as the cake is coming very soon. If you`re a subscriber, you can expect a coupon code in your mailbox in about a week or so!
