Simple crochet flower
Free pattern © Mari-Liis Lille
This simple crochet flower is perfect for those who want to add a little something extra to decorate their amigurumi. A flower on a bunny’s head or a doll’s dress makes it so much sweeter.
The flower is super simple to make – you can work up a bunch in just a few minutes.
Choose two colors for the flower: one for the center and one for the petals. To sew the flower onto your project, you can either leave a long tail of the first color or use a third color for sewing.
Supplies you`ll need:
- small amount of cotton yarn in two colors, for example Scheepjes Catona or Schachenmayr Catania (50 g / 125 m)
- 2.5 mm crochet hook
Skill level: easy
Stitches and abbreviations (US crochet terms):
Magic ring, slip stitch (sl st), chain (ch), single crochet (sc), half double crochet (hdc), double crochet (dc)
Flower
Work the first row with the first color fo your choice. Before starting row 2, switch to the second color.
1: Work 10 sc in a magic ring, sl st into the first sc [10]
2: (Ch 1, work hdc and dc in the same st, dc and hdc in next st, sl st in next st) repeat 5 times. This forms 5 petals.
