Mama Goat – amigurumi pattern

$7.09

Amigurumi goat pattern offers a challenge for advanced crocheters.

Mama Goat was specially created for a farm where goats are raised, embodying the character of a hardworking housewife. She wears a simple wool dress adorned with a front apron, a charming collar, and a lace-trimmed hem for a timeless look.

The amigurumi goat has many delightful details to explore. Her yarn transitions from brown to white are crafted with jagged edges using long single crochets (spike stitch), though these can easily be swapped for regular single crochets if you prefer.

Her face is unique, with embroidered eye patches that may take a bit of experimenting to perfect. The pattern itself is simple, but the precise stitch placement brings her character to life. Interestingly, achieving symmetry in her facial features may be the biggest challenge!

For the brave who peek under her skirt, they’ll find that Mama Goat has a hint of mischievous hip curves. And though she has a gentle beard, she’s never afraid to stand her ground.

Design from lilleliis`s new Estonian book “Unustamatud lapsepõlvelelud”.
