Welcome to Amigurumi blind Christmas CAL Part 3. Many of you have told me you have no clue yet of what it`s going to be. Awesome because that`s what a blind CAL is all about – to keep it secret as long as possible.
Also, don`t worry about the different time zones we live in. Some people sleep when others are crocheting, that`s just the way it is :)
If you missed the previous posts, then here you can find Part 1 and Part 2. Today we have a very special piece to make. Don`t scroll to the bottom, just start making it!
Supplies you`ll need:
- Sport or DK weight (fine or light) cotton or wool in 5 colors – gray, red, white, black and blue. I mixed different leftover materials. For the best result do not change the shade of color A, B, C and D. Color E can be replaced with green or brown.
- Crochet hook 2.5 mm (or in accordance to the yarn you use)
- Polyester fiberfill
- Black safety eyes, 6 mm
- 2 small buttons
- Darning needle
Abbreviations:
sc – single crochet, sc2tog – single crochet 2 stitches together (decrease), st(s) – stitch(es), rep – repeat
Let`s go!
1: Color C. Start 8 sc in a magic ring [8]
2: Work 2 sc in each st around [16]
3-4: Sc in each st around
5: (Sc2tog) rep 8 times [8]
Stuff the piece.
6: Change to color B. (Sc in next 2 sts, sc2tog) rep 2 times [6]
7: Sc in each st around
8: (Sc in next st, 2 sc in next st) rep 3 times [9]
9: Sc in each st around
10: (Sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st) rep 3 times [12]
11: Sc in each st around
12: (Sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st) rep 3 times [15]
13: Sc in each st around
14: (Sc in next 4 sts, 2 sc in next st) rep 3 times [18]
15: Sc in each st around
16: (Sc in next 5 sts, 2 sc in next st) rep 3 times [21]
17: Sc in each st around
18: Working in the front loops only, sc in each st around
Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing.

I have no idea what we’re making but it will be wearing a cute Santa hat! This is fun!
This is cute my granddaughter can’t wait to see what it is
Love your site and all your helpful hints. I am a self taught crochet addict and am always looking to learn new ways to do things. I’m loving the little hat. By the way I need to shop for the buttons. What colour and what size do we need?
Very small would be best, 6-8 mm. White or black or any other color will work fine. Hurry up, we`ll need them in a couple of days!
May be it is a Christmas Tree ball – mouse with hat? 🤔
Part 3 done ! :)

Step 3. It’s so much fun.
A really nice activity to do on my own schedule. So far nothing takes more than 30 minutes (I’m old and slow!:). Thanks
I couldn’t have said it better myself! I’m old and slow too!❤️
Ok! I’ve finished stage three and my finger hurts from crocheting the tiny bits, but I’m doing ok so far…….BRING IT ON😀
