Meet Smugly bear – the easiest amigurumi teddy bear I`ve ever designed. The pattern is perfect for complete beginners as well. The pattern uses only the very basic knowledge of amigurumi – magic ring, single crochet, inceasing and decreasing of stitches. If you love the idea of crocheting a bear by yourself, this might be the best place to start.
The bear is made in 9 pieces. For the muzzle I´ve used an oval piece of felt. I´ve covered the ears with fabric but you can skip that as well.
Scroll down to see the special message the bear has on his butt. Isn`t it cute!
The original yarn I used in the pattern is unfortunately discontinued. It was a beautiful mixture of cotton and linen. This time I tried a hairy woolen version of Smugly bear. Drops Nepal worked nicely for it.
The English pattern has a 2020 updated version available. Click here for more.
