“Crochet Kittens” amigurumi kit

I have kept this secret for so long time, but not anymore. In a co-operation with The Book Shop from New York and Sterling Publishing we`ve published “Crochet Kittens” amigurumi kit and a booklet. It`s an exclusive product for US market and will be sold at Barnes and Noble.
The booklet includes 10 brand new designs. I´ve focused on including cats in different size, way of construction and skill level. All of them are created about a year ago, but I wasn`t allowed to show them to you until now. So here you are to browse the gallery and get to know all of them.
When I accepted this offer I was actually quite scared of how I will manage. As you know cats have never been my theme (Although I adore my own furry friends so much! One of them is on the photos as well, guess he scent the cat smell :)). But as I started working my hesitations slowly disappeared. One design led to another. Have you ever experienced it?! You make something and it gives you inspiration for the next project. Happily it happened to me this time as well, so after completing all 10 cats for this booklet I couldn`t stop and made some extra patterns (Meow cat and Rag doll cat) for my shop.
The kit includes materials for making 2 smaller cats – the green one called Tiny Kitten and the purple one named Playful Kitten. There is yarn, crochet hook, stuffing, safety eyes and even thread for stitching the nose.
The book is small, so it`s quite handy if you want to take it with you and crochet on the go.

Hello Marie: i was gifted a crochet kittens kit and i am not en expert crocheter. Managed to do the head and ears for marine kitty and the skirt will not come out in a bell shape (more like a beanie type). Also don’t understand- is all skirt crocheted in leftover front loops? Pls help!
Hi! The first round of the skirt is crocheted in the leftover front loops, the second is crocheted on top of the first round of stitches. If this doesn`t help, you can contact me via email and send a photo of your work so I could assist you better.
I got the crochet kittens kit and love it but not enough gray wool to finish.

I received this kit as a gift, with the Marine Cat Couple. I am almost done & have realized I am not going to have enough gray. How can I get a bit more?
Hi, Laura! It`s so sad to hear there`s not enough yarn in the box. My part was only to write patterns for the booklet and I have no responsibility on the materials included in the kit. I´m sorry, I can`t help you. I don`t even know which yarn it is.
I bought this kit and it sat for a couple years until I opened it up while under quarantine for 20 days, and started crocheting! I haven’t been able to stop and I just love creating now. Thank you for introducing me into this beautiful world of crochet!

What size hook, mine did not include one.
Hi, Kelli! This is strange, because in the sample kit they sent me, there was a crochet hook included. I´ve used 3 mm hook throughout the kitten booklet.

My comment is a little overdue, since I purchased this kit a while ago, but I still wanted to say thank you. I have been crocheting on and off since I was a child (I’m now 61 years old). I don’t usually purchase kits, but decided this was the safest way to explore the world of amigurumi. I’m so glad I started with YOURS. Your directions are crystal clear, the photos are helpful, and your creations are adorable. I started by making the purple kitten for one of my daughters and the black kitty for my other daughter. They were delighted! I learned so much from your book, that even as somewhat a novice with amigurmi, I am able to modify and improve other patterns I’ve used. Next up is the siamese kitty – a gift for my mother-in-law. Thank you for your inspiration and instruction.

I bought this as a gift for my wife last Christmas at the Barnes and Noble at Union Square, New York. It was collecting dust, and I was getting a little upset, but she finally opened it up last week, and now she’s hooked! Her first kitten she made is a gift for an expecting friend’s baby. I went shopping with her the other day because she wanted to buy more yarn and crocheting materials. Thank you for opening my wife to this hobby. She loves it. I wish I could send the photo of her first kitten, but I think it looks good.
