I love making these wooden teething rings with animal heads. And it`s such a cute gift for newborn!
This one is a customer order for a company producing organic and healthy food. The rattle is made with eco yarn and has a wooden handle processed with eco varnish. The base of the head is taken from a free Puppy rattle pattern of mine. I only made small changes to the muzzle and nose.
It came out so cute I think I´m gonna make some more of them!
This is so cute! How do you prevent the pupoy from sliding around on the wooden ring?
If the ribbon around the wooden ring is tight enough it won`t slide so easily.
This is super cute – can ask how you attached the head to the ring … I’ve made a couple but the heads wobble so much on the ring?!
Well yes, that`s the most complicated part. I´ve crocheted a rectangle that goes around the wooden ring. Plus I´ve crocheted a ribbon to the head, which goes on top of the rectangle. That way, if there`s two really tight layers of crochet fabric, it won`t wobble that much.
This is really a cute gift for a newborn. I look forward to all othet teething rings you are going te make.
Hve a great day, Margaret
Thank you, Margaret!
